I love this book! I've really found it truly inspirational, and full of great advice! I also love that I can relate to a lot of the situations she's went though. It doesn't feel as though she's a professional giving me cold advice. But more like a best friend that's been through the same the thing, and is trying to help. Unlike most parenting books (that I only read when I'm trying to find information), I read this book all the way through (and found it enjoying). I also have so many pages highlighted, and dog eared because it has so much helpful tips and advice!
Here's a little bit more about the book: The Christian Mama's Guide To Parenting A Toddler, everything you need to know to survive (and love) your child's terrible twos. How did your kid go from so sweet to so not--so fast? What's a mom to do when her sweet baby's smiles and snuggle turn to tears and tantrums? Let's get on thing clear: whoever invented the term "terrible twos" had obviously never spent too much time with a one and a half year old because, as any parent of a toddler will tell you, the terrible twos start looong before the second birthday. Here's one Christian mama's take on every toddler from throwing food to potty training to massive toddler fits. Full of helpful tips (how to stop a tantrum in its tracks) and amusing anecdotes (no, your kid isn't the only one who smears sweet potatoes in his hair). The Christian Mama's Guide to Parenting a Toddler has the sanity saving advice you want to hear, and the you're not a bad mom just because your kid is acting obnoxious support you need!
Overall not only did I find this book helpful (Banner is starting to go through the terrible twos already!), but I also found it very enjoyable to read! I've tried several of her tips with Banner, and while some didn't workout, most did! Which is great for this mama's sanity! I also love her Time Out For Mom sections with the prayers! I would recommend this book to any mom of a toddler, or baby ages 1-3! It really is a great read! The Christian Mama's Guide To Parenting A Toddler by: Erin MacPherson retails for $15.99

ReplyDeleteI wish I had seen your post a year or two ago. My kiddo went through terrible threes, we thought we passed the terrible two stage until about a month or so after his third birthday and WOW, talk about a major change. He's much better now that he is four but I honestly felt like that horrible Mom.
