1..2..Buckle Your Shoe

   

So after all winter of wearing zip up ugg style boots, Audrey had a huge surprise for me the other day.  She can almost tie her shoes all by herself!  I almost had a peed myself when I seen her do it.  And I have no idea where she learned to do it either.  Because in our family no has worn shoes with laces since November, heck I'm just now buying new gym shoes for the kids so they can put their boots away!  So I don't know if Audrey's been secretly practicing while everyone is asleep, or if she just remembered how I done it 6 months ago.  But either way I'm in total shock!  I mean could this really be my child?  I couldn't even tie my shoes until the end of Kindergarten!  I remember this because they was going to hold me back until I learned (stupid rule huh?).  I told my mom that I could just wear velcro shoes for the rest of my life lol!

    I just can't believe how fast she's growing up, it kills me inside to see her so tall and so smart.  I'm so proud of her, but at the same time I can't believe that my baby, is now a big girl, and will soon be going to Kindergarten as well!  Time goes by so fast, Banner is getting so big too.  My little baby that used to love to cuddle his mommy, now just wants down so he can run and play.  And now when he spots a dog, he says "oof, oof".  I find myself shedding tears sometimes, but the fact is that I'm a very proud mommy, and am so blessed to have got to witness all their achievements (both big and small) first hand!  I wouldn't trade being a mommy for anything in the world (except for maybe an hour of peace and quiet, but then I'd want them right back!).  So have your kids surprised you with any of their achievements?  I'd love to hear about them!
