VeggieTales Sweetpea Beauty *Review, and Giveaway*

    As moms, we want most of the things our kids watch read, or listen to, to have some sort of message.  Because it's an opportunity to learn something.  I've always liked that VeggieTales, have been great at explaining, and showing the right thing, not just telling.  I also love that it's not annoying like some children's show.  Me and Chris actually like it and sit down and watch them with Audrey!  So when I got the chance to review their newest title I was excited!  Audrey loved the show, and danced along to the music.  And I loved the message. Oh and the pants song is very catchy, you find yourself singing along! :)

    This DVD has two shows Sweetpea Beauty: Sweetpea Beauty knows that what's on the inside is what matters most, but insecure Queen Blueberry can't see past her won reflection!  Will Sweetpea save the Queen from the lies of the tricky mirror and help her understand she's special just the way God made her?  Find our in this fairy "Veggie" tale about the real meaning of true beauty.  And Snoodlerella:  A self-conscious Snoodlerella is the star of the ball after getting an extreme makeover.  Her life of glamour is short-lived as the clock strikes midnight and her glasses, braces, and insecurities return.  Will she be able to see herself as the good King sees her - unique, beautiful, and perfect just the way she is?  The DVD also includes some cool bonus features, a song from Nichole Nordeman, and the new silly pants song.

    Overall I really enjoyed this DVD, and so did Audrey.  In a world full of the media telling young girls, that it's whats on the outside that counts.  It's nice to have something that tells them otherwise!  This DVD would be great for a slumber party, a makeover/beauty party, a princess party, or a VeggieTale themed party.  And it would make a great birthday gift!  I would recommend this DVD to any parent that has a little girl 2 and up.  VeggieTales Sweetpea Beauty was available in stores beginning yesterday, and retails for $14.93.
