6 Fun Things To Do On Your 18th Birthday! Guest Post by: Liz C.

If you have an 18th birthday coming up, there’s a good chance that you’re either finishing up High School, or maybe you just graduated. While I don’t think the 18th is as cool as your 21st, there are some things that you can do in my state such as purchase cigarettes or lottery tickets legally. While that my not interest you, maybe a few below could potentially peak your interests!

#1 Look for casinos in your area – Here in Michigan, there are some great Indian casinos in the area that I can go to once you’re 18th. Even if you don’t gamble that much, it’s a great place to get together with friends and even spend $10 or so. Trust me; $10 can take you a long ways on penny slots!

#2 Take a little road trip – Now that you’re legally an “adult”, you’re going to find that hotels will allow you to book a room. Gather up a few friends and travel a few hours away to a cool town. What you will find is that you can get a place with a pool and great restaurant. There you can enjoy yourself for the weekend.

#3 Cross the border in Mexico – If you live near Mexico, you may want to jump the border where you can drink legally now. While Mexico never really checked IDs anyways, you can at least be assured that you’re going to get drinks no matter what. Please note that if you’re going to do this, make sure that you go to a safe area.

#4 Night on the town – Sure, your 18th can be a special one. Think of your favorite restaurant, gather up your friends, and rent a limo. This is a great way to live the high life and have fun at the same time. A limo really doesn’t cost much if you purchase ahead of time.

#5 Try a night club – In my area, there are some clubs that you can get into at 18. The only downfall is that if you’re not into dancing or meeting new people, you may not enjoy it as much. You can also get together with close friends, ride a bull, and dance the night away downtown.

#6 Have a theme party – If you have a big enough back yard at your home, or a park nearby, you can think of a theme party where you can do whatever you want. The theme can be totally up to you. Whether you want a casino, 80s, or Hollywood theme, you’ll want to think of something creative!

Your 18th birthday should be a fun one since you’re a legal adult. As time flies by when you get older, you’re going to want to look back and remember all the fun things that you have done.
