The I Hate To Cook Book by: Peg Bracken *Review and Giveaway*

    I used to love to cook.  It used to be so much fun to experiment with different recipes, and ingredients.  But when you have a tiny person saying, "Mommy I'm hungry what are you going to fix?", 24/7, it just takes all the fun out of it.  I no longer cook because I want to; I cook because I have to (with the off-chance I may get Chris to do it once-and-awhile!).  That's one of the many reasons I love The I Hate To Cook Book!  Not only does she have the book filled with short, simple recipes, their also in easy to understand terms (because let's face it, I'm no professional), and she's blunt, and well, hilarious!

    Here is a recipe from the book:
Sweep Steak
(So called because a couple of seasons ago, this recipe swept the country.)

2-to3-pound round steak or pot roast
both 1-ounce packets in the package of onion-soup mix

Put the meat on a sheet of aluminum foil big enough to wrap it in.  Sprinkle the onion-soup mix on top of it, fold the foil, airtight, around it, put it in a baking pan, and bake it a 300 degrees for three hours or 200 degrees for nine hours, it really doesn't matter.  You can it up, if you like, and hour or so before it's done, and surround it with potatoes and carrots.

4-6 servings

    Overall I rally enjoyed this book!  Reading it made my mouth water and my tummy  growl!  This is one cook book I know I'll be keeping!  There is also some household tips, and measurements, in the last couple chapters!  I would recommend this to both those that love to cook, and those that hate to.  I also think the book would be a great gift for someone whose moving out on their own for the first time, someone whose having a baby, or someone that just got married (because all of those people are going to want to know, how to make something short, simple, and delicious!).  And now for the fun part.  The giveaway details are below, good luck, and have fun! :)
