The Girls From Ames by: Jeffrey Zaslow *Review*

Eleven childhood friends, who formed a special bond growing up in a small town.  As the girls got older they moved into eight different states, yet remained an important part of each others life's.   The Girls From Ames, is an amazing story of how strong a freindship can really be!  These women now in their forties, have been best friends since they was kids.  They have bonded through blessings, and tragidies, and are as strong as ever!
I believe this book gives insight on the kind of friendships every women would like to have!  The fact that these women have gone through so much together, and yet are closer than ever, gives me hope for my friendships!  This book not only tells about the lifes of these amazing women.  It also tells how benifical female bonds/friendships really are!
I deffiently recommed this bok to any female in the world.  Young or old I promise you will be touched by these women's lifes!  In my opinion, The Girls From Ames, is a must read!
Also be sure to check out The Girls From Ames, website!  It has tons of information about the women, and the book.  The site also offers a list of places where you can purchase the book, and videos of the women!

I recieved a free copy of this book so I could do a review! I did not recieve any other compensation.  My opinions are just that.  They are mine, and mine alone.  This review was made possible by twitter moms: the influential moms network!

  1. This sounds really interesting - doubly so because I grew up 45 minutes from Ames! I have some amazing friends - maybe this book would be a good gift for them!

  6. Yeah it's been super frustrating - 6 weeks is SUCH a long time to be unsure about wheather we can move in or not. We really thought we'd be able to talk to them, pay for our background checks, sign a paper and be moved in within a couple of days of chekcing on the place. I mean, that's how it happened with the apartment we got before. We called and 2 days later we were moving in. So I didn't expect this at all. They do really bad business - many people who are looking for ap lace to move, don't have the OPTION of staying where they currently are for 6 more weeks. so i bet they lose a lot of renters due to that.

  7. I was wondering if that was Ames, Ia. I had to look. It is. Yippie! That's like 45 minutes from me. I'm going to have to read it just because they are from here. Sounds fabulous!
